Sunset Vallachia is Out!

READ IT HERE, NOW!

Finally, having spectacularly missed my self-imposed deadline and missing the 31st in my own timezone, Sunset Vallachia is nonetheless out! This novel has totally consumed my life for the past few months, so having it out of my hands feels great―well, that's what I'd like to say, but unfortunately I'm too incompetent to have my grand release go exactly as I want it to.

As I write this, the novel is only available in the form of a PDF file. To all the EPUB fans in the audience, I have not forsaken you! I just need some more time to iron all of that out. Expect the PDF file to also be updated sometime in the coming days, as there are a few improvements to be made to it. I'll tweet about it when the time comes, so look out for that.

Anyhow, I'd tell you to just go and enjoy the novel, but since my marketing has been close to nonexistent thus far, many will probably have no clue what this book is about. So here you go, a synopsis:

A Vampiric Locked-Room Fantasia

Vio Valakia, a weak and cowardly vampire on the run from a horrific pair of hunters, comes upon a ghastly sight: in a dilapidated forest storehouse locked from the inside, a young girl lies stabbed in the back, inches away from death. With no other recourse, he sinks his teeth into her neck, saving her life by turning her into an immortal monster.

Forming a momentary truce with hunters, the vampiric sleuth and victim must come together to solve the locked room mystery, all while bearing the weight of their impending extermination. Just what answers lie beyond the forest, in the tiny, isolated village of St. Purgatorio...?

Sounds exciting, doesn't it? I sure hope so. Anyhow, as is and will continue to be the tendency for my works going forward, this is an illustrated novel, with illustrations by yours truly. As a taste of that, here are the introductory color pages:

I'm immensely grateful to anyone who would decide to spend their precious time on my work. I'd be very happy if you got something out of it. And for everyone who's gotten this far into this post, happy (late) Halloween!
