A World Without Magic
The year 496 of the new era calendar―almost five centuries have passed since magic has disappeared from this world, but remnants of its presence yet remain, and chief among them is the vampire.
Vampires are the only known creatures to attain true immortality: their limbs regrow, they hearts reform, and whatever illness or calamity may befall them, death will not heed their call. That superhuman constitution, alongside their heterodox abilities and views, makes them the natural enemy of the Heliocentric faith, whose Thirteenth Chamber makes it their mission to hunt down and seal every such being they can find, in the hopes of one day discovering a way to end them for good.
This is no legend or fairy tale, but a chronicle. The chronicle of tale of a saintly human’s death and a devilish vampire’s birth.
